Before working with your WordPress website, the first step is to log into the WordPress Admin Dashboard. You can access the Admin page by adding /wp-admin to your website’s URL.
The standard login form for a WordPress website lets you enter your credentials, Username or Email Address, and a Password. Click Log In to access your WordPress website’s admin dashboard.

How To Login To WordPress After Forgetting Your Password #
If the password has been lost or forgotten, the login form offers a feature to reset your password. Instead of entering the Username or Email Address and Password, click on the link Lost your password?
On the reset password form, enter your Username or Email Address and click on Get New Password.
An email is sent to your email address with a link. Click on the link in the email and you will be taken to a page where you can set a new WordPress password.
Access To This Site Has Been Temporarily Limited #
Most websites managed by Moreton Bay Websites includes a security plugin, WordFence. It monitors login attempts and if there are too many failed attempts, access may be limited. If so, WordFence will display a message to you. If your website has a different security plugin, it is usually handled in the same or similar way.
In this case there are two options for the blocked access:
- if you are an administrator user, enter your email address and an email is sent with a link to unlock your account
- wait for the blocked access time to end and access is restored, normally 4 hours
